Are the online dating services for real or they just getting people's money?
depends on what you are looking for- some people (like you) who are just looking for sex do use dating websites; however, there other people who use them to actually find a long term partner.
just remember to be honest and let anyone you might meet know what you are looking for- i met a lot of interesting people through online dating- some of them were straight with me and told me they only wanted to fool around- while others, were just strange. I met my current boyfriend (of seven months) through yahoo. Having a paid account shows that you are serious and not cheap.

Dating sites, are very ambigous. The larger ones love to advetise that they can assure success...with testimonials from a few lucky (usually attractive looking for TV) couples.
They do charge alot for an almost automated service.
Here are some reasons I haven't gotten all involved.
1) i am trying to make sure my credit card bills are zero
2) you have to constantly update your profiles to stay in the front running, I task i find a little difficult
3) Most importantly, not one sight guarantees absolutely that you will get a successful hit...most obviously because on average, all dating sites, there is a male-to-female profile ratio of 6-10 males to every 1 female. The odds are great for women, they are virtually impossible for men. Do the math and discouragement is guaranteed.
